WAS there ever a more enthusiastic television presenter than Sir David Attenborough? His wildlife programmes from around the globe made him one of Britain's best-loved naturalists. Animals, birds, plants - whatever he was filming, large or small, he found fascinating.
At the age of seventy-four when asked if he was feeling like retiring, he replied, "Of course not. One cannot get bored by a bluebell!"
